Cannabis Infused Sugar

Cannabis Sugar is a great way to add cannabinoids to your cooking without it overpowering your meal. It adds a very slight infusion (depending how much you use) that can be easily masked or incorporated into drinks and sweet + savory dishes! You’ll need to make a tincture first, which takes up to 8 hours to a few days so this isn’t going to come together in a day! Once you’re tincture is done, you’ll have to wait another day for the sugar mixture to dry. Some recipes suggest that you put it in the oven to help dry, but this seems like an unnecessary & dangerous option to me. Its also impossible for me to keep the heat of my oven under 215 degrees which means its high risk for catching on fire. I’ve seen people also use food dehydrators, but if you don’t have one the tincture will evaporate easily on its own with time. Patience goes a long way here! That being said, the overall process is very simple and only requires a few ingredients. Its worth the wait to get creative!

Cannabis Ingredients:

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups white or brown sugar

Recipe:

  1. Lay out your sugar evenly on a baking sheet or large bowl
  2. Pour your tincture over the sugar
  3. Mix the sugar around to get an even coat of tincture over the whole batch
  4. Cover the tray with cheesecloth to avoid debris
  5. Let your sugar dry completely, stiffing it every few hours to speed up the process. This takes about a day.
  6. The sugar is done once the alcohol is full evaporated out and it is completely dry
