There are so many delightful uses for maple and agave syrup. It follows a very similar process as the Infused Honey recipe and has a very similar effect. You’re welcome to infuse these with different herbs as well but I’m going to make this recipe as simple as possible so you can start practicing! I use this recipe to make other great infusions like an Infused Balsamic Reduction and a multitude of other recipes I’ll link below. Just like honey, it won’t infuse as well as something with a lot of fat, so for a strong infusion I’d suggest pairing it with another infused product. However, if you’re just looking for a nice mellow dose of medicine this can be great on its own!
Cannabis Ingredients:
- about 3.5 grams cannabis
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Maple or Agave Syrup
Recipe:
- Decarb your cannabis
- Add the maple or agave syrup to a double boiler and warm at medium-low heat
- Add the cannabis to the warmed syrup and bring to a simmer
- Simmer for about 40 minutes without bringing to a boil. Stirring often
- Take off heat and allow to cool
- Place a cheesecloth over a mason jar and either make a funnel or secure with a rubber band. You could also use a handheld stainer
- Pour the syrup over the cheesecloth into the mason jar. Take the cheese away and seal jar
